Humility

Many proofs dogs are peak of Creation. Is no dog equivalent of Paris Hilton. Is no dog would wear plaids, stripes together. No dog ever tied human to post, left alone in backyard. No dog ever got drunk, woke up next morning in bed with strange cat.

St. Francis was wise. He said console others instead of seeking to be consoled, love others instead of seeking to be loved, understand instead of seeking to be understood. He said give dogs all the cookies they want.

Last one is not true. Am ashamed, trying to use St. Francis to scam treat.

———-

Here’s something dogs like to do. Lie on lawn, on back, stare at stars. Think how big is universe, how small is me. Think how long is time how short is life here.

Makes you feel good because you realize cannot change the world, only brighten corner where you are.

———-

Fame means nothing. Time erases fame.

Great power doesn’t last. Time erases the powerful.

Your anger dies with you.

What love you give lives on.

Cynic will sneer at this truth. Time erases cynics.

———-

You have as much love to give as any king or movie star. If humble, you have more to give than king or movie star.
