I have to be honest, I didn’t know a lot about Joan of Arc, which was part of the reason that I wanted to read this book. The book didn’t let me down. The author shares major details about her life while weaving them into principles for leaders to put into practice. It is easy to follow, memorable, and helpful. It’s also a shorter read making it something that is easy to work through in a few settings, which is nice sometimes.

Peter Darcy’s extensive research of the Joan of Arc and pulling out her leadership virtues is commendable to say the least. He explores seven leadership qualities that Joan of Arc possessed. Based off of her true life examples, he provides great insight and understanding of what it takes to be a great leader. What little I knew from history class about Joan of Arc was taken to a whole new level as I read this. There was so much I never new about her leadership abilities. Many leaders today could learn some great lessons and enhance their leadership skills from this historical narrative and great leader. Well done.
